I recognize your Malta pivot shoe, see our part 15-159

does anyone have pictures or videos or any instructions on how to install a new pivot shoe onto the window and put the window back in?

We unfortunately don't have an official guide on how to install this part. I will do my best to walk you through it.

On the older style Malta Thermalclad windows they used a friction pressure system. It had a floating spring loaded jamb strip on the left side of the jamb. To remove the sashes, you would need to push up against the left side of the jamb and swing the sash out from the right side of the track. This is what we have in our records on the Malta Thermalclad window system.

With the bottom sash removed, attach the 15-159 to the cord in the jamb liner. You might want to pull the cord a few inches and lock it in place with some locking pliers to make it easier the attach the 15-159, otherwise the cord will be under constant tension.

Then, remove the pivot screw attached in the center of the sash. Slip the screw through the hole in 15-159 and re-screw it to the side of the sash. You should then be able to reinstall the sash in the frame.
