Thanks for reaching out to us. The shoe shown in your photos reminds us of the 15-197 but take a look at the specifications and see if they match up with the old one. If they do, this would have to be a custom order since we don't have a stock balance that uses the 15-197 shoe. We'll just have to confirm a few things such as:

  • Length, width, and depth of the metal channel
  • How the balance attaches to the top of the window
  • Weight of the window sash
  • Number of balances you're looking to order

We may need more information after that depending on what you find. Just something to keep in mind. Thank you!

Here is what I was able to find out. Please let me know if you need any more information.

Length, width, and depth of the metal channel- 29 1/8L 9/16 D
How the balance attaches to the top of the window- possible clip/wasn't able to see how the top attached to top of window
Weight of the window sash- 24.69 lb
Number of balances you're looking to order- 20

The closest we can offer is the S751-29 with the 9/16" wide metal channel and 15-197 shoe, but we can't promise it will replace the old length. We can also use the 28HD stamp, where a pair of balances will support a sash weighing 22 to 28 pounds.

The Series 751 uses an S-clip like the 19-029 or 19-030 for mounting, but you'll have to confirm exactly how yours mounts. If it uses a screw, you'd have to drill a hole in the metal channel to accommodate it.

Custom orders are nonrefundable, so we recommend you confirm the above, especially since you need a large quantity of balances. You can also start by ordering just 2 for now. Please let us know if and how you'd like to proceed.

Can we go ahead and order just 2 to start with and we will go from there. I will also need to the shoes as well.

Certainly. I've just emailed you a purchase link and price quote for (2) S751-29 balances with the 28HD stamp and 15-197 shoes attached that you can use to place an order on our website.

I am also needing to see if I can find one of these? It looks to be the same shoe as the other but just a different size balancer.

Yes, we can help with this stamp as well. How many were you looking to order? I can send you a purchase link once I know that.

Contractor from Charleston, SC
can we just order 4 of these. I don't think I will need that many.

Thank you! My apologies, it looks like the Series 751 doesn't have a stamp that translates to 20B. If you can weigh the window sash and get back to us with the precise weight, we can determine the appropriate stamp option. Can you also confirm the length of the metal channel?
