please identify my storm door lock

Home Owner from USA
Hello,

I have a storm door (couldn't find an identifier, name), and a lock.

Please see six attached files (one with dimensions described below).

I need to replace the lock, possibly entire handset.
On your website I found the Storm Door Mortise latch with product code 40-194, and corresponding handset 40-193.

I compared the dimensions of the product with my lock/handset dimensions, and found that they very close or coincident, except dimensions of the front plate.
On your website you have height as 8 ¼ ", with distance between screw holes 7 ¼" . My plate is about 7 ¾", and about 6 ¾" accordingly.

Could you please help me with replacement?

Thanks,

Victor

Hello, Victor. This door looks like it could be either a Pella brand or larsen brand door. In either case I think our 40-193 is the best option we have available, though the dimensions aren't exact. I'm just going off of design. I recommend double checking your dimensions just in case. Our 40-049 is another possibility, though you run into the same issue.

At the very least I think these two sets are worth considering even if you have to make some small adaptations to get them to fit. See what you think. We have detailed dimensions on each respective store page that you can review.

Thank you Dave. It turned out the door and the lock were from EMCO, now part of Andersen.

Gotcha, that makes sense. That probably means these were the old Forever Door handle parts. We don't sell those anymore but I still think the two that I mentioned above are our best bets.

If this is EMCO though then you should have a phone number on the inside of the door frame, on a sticker. Assuming that our hardware won't work then you could give them a call directly and see if they still sell these older parts.

Dave, you are right, there is a phone number on the sticker. I called them. The Andersen doors now. Ordered from them.
Thanks,
Victor
