Question

Right side of window dropped down upon cranking open.  Looks like a brass pin is missing that goes through the support arm into the side of the window. We have an identical window in the next room.  Not sure how the pin fell out.  Somehow we preserved the little plastic washer under the pin.

It looks like you need a new hinge. I recommend you have a look at the specifications for our 36-048 to see if they match up to your old one. Just be sure to replace the top and bottom hinges at the same time.
