question about the 26-021

Question

My sash pivot bar is damaged.
On my current pivot bar, the hole spacing between the screws is 1"
All of the dimensions on part 26-021 pivot bar match exactly to what I need, except the hole spaces are 5/8"

Is it possible for me to drill a new hole through part 26-02, to match the the existing size?
Or is it possible to simple install the current screw through the new part 26-021 at 5/8"
into the vinyl sash?

Thanks for contacting us. I don't think the 26-021 is what you want, since the tip style is different compared to ours. Yours is more like our 26-398, or 26-405. Look these over and see which one is the better match.

I also wouldn't focus on the spacing between the two holes. A pivot bar only needs one screw to install. Focus instead on the distance between the holes to the front tip. As long as one matches, you'll be good to go.
