re: Repair / Replacement for Miami Window cranks and inside-window accordian levers

Home Owner from Coral Gables, FL

Good afternoon. Greetings from Miami. Requesting replacement parts & advice for Townhouse-Duplex built in 1960s with stripped crank window handle, and the bottom rod casement is coming apart from the rest of the window, with the outdoor component of the crank assembly now detached.

Bedroom window will not close, seems accordian lever set inside window has become detached from level mechanism, thus will not pull the widow shut. Have found likely replacement crank assembly at Home Depot (photo #4), but may need your replacement part, plus new accordian level part inside window to attach to the crank assembly.

Can you offer counsel / assistance with this making this repair? I have a local handyman to assist with work, but clearly need to have the correct parts for the job. Thank you, Vincent

Hi there, Vincent.

We appreciate you reaching out to us. We'd be happy to help with this project but I'd just like a bit more information to help narrow down some options. Can you show us a photo of the installation hole patterns on the top and bottom tabs of this operator? I'm afraid I can't quite make them out from these photos.

Can you also show us a close-up photo of the accordion level part you're referring to?
