recommended Balance assembly +

Thanks

I'm afraid the sticker in your photo doesn't tell me anything about what balances are used in this window. In order to help, I will need to see photos of them. Would that be possible?
Please note that I may request more photos later, but I have to know what to ask for first. At this stage you could have anything.

At present the window has no tension and is impossible to open against the full weight of the window...so I'm assuming it's the coil balance that needs replacing??????
Please confirm ...so I can order a few of them.
Thanks

Thank you! Looks like you have a coil balance assembly. I feel pretty confident that we can help, but I will need a clear picture of the pivot shoe before I can go any further. Please let me know if you can get that for me.
I'm thinking this might be a Simonton window that uses a specific type of assembly; if I'm right, that means your balance assembly isn't technically made anymore. We have work-arounds for that, but they take some handiwork. Just something to be prepared for as we move forward.

Let me know if you can crystal ball me into the correct replacement parts for
all these photos including coil balance for left and right sides.
Thanks

Perfect, thank you! So, as I suspected earlier, your balance isn't made anymore. The good news is that we have a couple different solutions you could consider.
The first is our 15-192 pivot shoe, along with our Series 170 coil spring (and other parts related to its store page). This is a Certainteed brand part but I have had customers in the past tell me that they got it to work after grinding down the front of the face, which sticks out just a little too far for this window. You may also need to reuse the center metal cam, since the new one may not fit with your existing pivot bar.
The other option is a more modern replacement that I think works just as well, if not better, since it's not prone to breaking in half like your old one is. The video below will go into more detail. This will explain exactly what parts you need to buy and how you can install them in your window. Just note that you will need the exact weight of your sash on hand in order to calculate the proper spring strength. You want to divide that weight by how many springs support the sash, then pick accordingly.

Thank you! We greatly appreciate it. Please let me know if we can be of any further assistance.
