remove broken latch

A quick learner from Catawissa, PA says:
I think I have the above latch in my tilt windows that were made by a local company that has gone out of business. How do I remove and replace broken latches? Do I have to disassemble the whole window frame to get at the internal latch. There are screws located on the edge of each corner, but I did not want to start disassembling the whole window if there was an easier way!
Thanks for your help

Thanks for posting! You'll have to remove the top cover of the sash in order to get to an internal latch. There's not really an easier way, but since you say you have screws, it may not be as hard as you think. Give it a try and let me know if you need any help!

Thanks for the feedback. It was easy once I got up the courage to cut the corner seal holding the mitered edges together. Place my order. P.S. your site is great, clear pics and measurements that make it easy to match the part I have to the part I need.

Thanks again for your help.
