Hi - I have Atrium windows. I am looking for replacement balances for two single-hung windows. I have two different problems. Window 1 doesn't stay open when the window is raised. Window 2 is very difficult to move. Will replacing the balances most likely resolved both problems?

The length of the balance is 35" (metal channel only).

Thanks for posting. Certainly for your first window it sounds like you need to replace your channel balances. For the second, you could try to lubricate the window first with a silicone spray, and see if that helps the movement. Either way, it may be near time to replace the balances in that second window as well. Based on your pictures and the length provided, you should see our S395-35 Channel Balance. You will need to select a stamp option. In the balance you show, your stamp number of 34 3 conforms to our stamp option of 3430, for a window sash in the weight range of 18 through 23 lbs.
