I have 13 General Aluminum single hung tilt-windows Series 2700 that were originally installed when the house was built in 2000 and no longer open/close. I called MI customer care and they recommended that I replace the balances and gave me your website URL.
Will the Series 600 spiral balance work on these windows? I cannot see the tip color ... if there is any. I don't believe I need to replace the pivot shoe (dirty but looks undamaged) but you may recommend differently. The rod size is 5/8" and 28 5/8" long. Should I order a 28" or 29" balance?
My plan is to order one complete set and charging tool to be certain this will resolve the issue. If the 'kit' works on one window, I'll then place an order for the remaining windows.
