Our screen door no longer latches. I removed the screen handle yesterday and discovered that the latch itself has a fissure at the base of the long plastic piece (see Figure 2b, right) with the latch itself. This prevent the latch from going fully up when installed and catch the small plastic pice in the door frame.
I wish to replace the damaged plastic part. Is that available? Or must I purchase the whole unit made of metal and expensive to get this small plastic part?
Sincerely,
replacement part - Pella screen door

Hi, Paul. You referenced "Figure 2b" in your post. Did you intend to include pictures? Your post came through without photos and I'm not sure what Figure 2b might be!

I was referring to the instructions from your web site. I have now attached two images to avoid confusion. Check image 1 to see small crack at base of thin part of latch.

Thanks! Looks like you have our 84-225. I'm afraid the individual components of this set are not available separately. If one piece has broken on yours, only a complete handle set is available for purchase.
