Question

I need a spiral balance (red tip) and the pivot lock shoe. The window is a Vinyltech 2000 SH. The spiral balance is 28" long (no red tip) and 5/8" diameter. I think that's the S600. The pivot lock shoe I'm unsure of. Also, do I need a tool to wind the spiral balance?

Thanks for posting. Yes, if the diameter of the outer tube is 5/8" and length (not including the colored tip) is 28", then it looks like you have a S600-28 Spiral Balance. It also looks like it has a red tip; sometimes these tips fade from age to a rusted color or an off-orange.

As far as your pivot shoe goes, I'm afraid I need more information to be able to help. Could you take pictures of the pivot shoe removed from your window? Could you also provides its width and thickness? This would help us narrow down the right replacement for you. Thanks!
