replacing the round locking mechanism which has broken off.

Home Owner from Miami, Fl

That is a picture of my lock on my sliding glass door. My neighbor cannot open her sliding glass doors because the round plastic locking switch is broken off. Can you help? She is 78 and I am trying to help her the best I can. The screw-to-screw spacing is 6-7/8" Thank you

Thanks for posting! I am uncertain if we have a replacement handle that would work for the one shown in your photo, unfortunately.

To start, I would like to double check the measurement for the distance between the installation holes. Are you certain that it is 6-7/8"?

I just measured again, middle of screw to middle of screw is. 6 7/8th. Thank you.

Thanks for confirming! I suggest starting with reviewing and comparing part 82-002. Look over the dimensions and compare them to your existing handle to confirm that this might be a fit. You'll also want to be sure that the hook/latch on the inside is in the same position that ours is.

The compatible interior handle pulls are the wood handle pull 88-002 and the chrome handle pull 88-009.
