Hi, I need to replace the pivot coil system and pivot shoe in the attached photo. I have not yet removed the old ones. The width is 1/2 inch. Can you please advise which replacement parts I will require for this? Also, should I cut the opening or use a spreader?

Thank you for reaching out to us, Ed. I suspect you may have the 15-228 pivot shoe but I recommend you compare the specifications with yours to confirm once it's removed from the track. This is used with the 1/2" Series 160 and 3/8" Series 165 coil springs. We do sell jamb spreaders but we usually only recommend them to professionals who do this type of work often since they are quite expensive and not eligible to be returned. For homeowners, we recommend following the cutout method shown in the video below.
