roller for wood door

A handy person from Long Island, NY says:
I want to replace one 24" sliding mirror door with a plain hollow core slab of the same size. I'm keeping the other mirror door in place. The existing track requires a concave roller wheel. The hollow core door is 1-3/8 whereas the existing glass is 1.25. There is sufficient physical space for the hollow core, but the existing glass doors use recessed rollers.

Which of your roller units (if any) do you feel would surface (or recess) mount with the least modification to the new door? Would a heavier solid core door be better? Most of them have substantial internal framing, that can be cut and modified. The glass door to be replaced is not broken or damaged. The replacement is simply a cosmetic change for the room.

Thanks, Mike

Thanks for contacting us. We offer our 23-098 convex mirror door roller. Take a look and see what you think. When you flush mounted against the wood door, you center the wheel a 1/4" away from the door. You would need to see if the track would have depth to accept both doors using the roller.
