sash balance

We highly recommend removing the balance to check which product code was used.

In the worst case scenario, if you can provide the measurements of the sash (width and height), we can try to dig through Andersen resources to find the answer. However, the quickest and most surefire way is to use the same balance you removed from the window to begin with, which would mean you need to check the code on the box.

I have an Andersen bay window that's about 28 years old and all 3 windows slam shut and won't stay open. I'm sure that the balance on all is broken. How do I figure our which one I should order without taking the old one out first. I've never done this before and don't want to start taking things apart without having the new part in front of me. The windows are double hung windows.
