Andersen sash balance without the tab?

I removed my anderson sash balance and it is a 727. The Swisco shows it can be replaced with a 24-737. My sash balance does not have a tab at the end, the picture of the Swisco replacement does. Can the replacement be ordered without the tab or will I install the new one with a tab?

Thank you for posting. Our Andersen sash balances are not available sans tab. If your window does not have the room for the tab, you may have to cut a notch in the head jamb with a chisel. This will allow room for the balance tab. 5/8" wide x 3/16" deep should be sufficient.
