they're at the top of the windows and hold the balance down. there is no markings and or part numbers. I can't even find a manufactuer on the window itself. I do know that the balances in them are 30" 2940

I don't know the dimensions of your old top sash guide, but you can start by taking a look at the 18-138 as an educated guess. You will have to review the specifications and compare them with yours to confirm whether they match up.
