Thanks for posting. That shoe looks like our 15-180. Do you agree? If so, check out our Series 190 spring. You may also be interested in all the parts related to the 15-180, which you can see on the right hand side of its product page.

Agreed. The dimensions on your 15-180 exactly match. I thought these might be sold as a unit, but it appears that I can just unscrew the old spring and attach a new one, correct?

How do I buy the right size 1/2" spring tension and length? I couldn't lengthen it to measure, but I could count 11 winds or coils if that helps. The total window height is 34" making the sash height, if I have the term right, 17" if that matters or is used to calculate coil tension or length.

Almost all of our coil balances are 35" long. I cannot say what you have, but I do know that our 15-180 uses our Series 190 coil spring. You just need to match up the stamp on your springs to find what part number you need, specifically. If your balances do not have stamps, tell me the weight of your window sash.

The window weighs 11.2 pounds.

I detached the spring from the shoe. I did not see any markings. Where would I find the stamp?

Hmm... looking at your picture in your last post, I can just make out a 7 stamped on the spring. If so, I recommend our S190-740.

You are exactly right. Once you pulled my attention to where to look, and I cleaned up the surface, the "7" could be seen clearly. Thanks so much.
