Do I need to get my sash weight?

Hi, I need to replace bunch of series 385 channel balances in my windows. I know the lengths I need, but I want to make sure I order the correct strength for each window. Some (but not all) of my current (broken) balances have some numbers stamped on them, but they do not match the numbers in your chart on your website. I weighed each window, but I'm not sure this is the correct way to measure the "sash weight". Please help me figure out how to determine the "sash weight" (Is this just the weight of the whole window?) so I can order the correct balance.

Thanks for posting! Weighing your sash on a scale is actually exactly how you want to do it, but you can also use your old stamp as a reference. Your stamp is "26 5," so you want our 2650 option.
