screen door handle (sliding)

Question

I cannot get the screw to go into the slider and latching piece.
Also the screw to secure the handle to the screen frame.

Hello,

The latch and slide of the 83-040 that you purchased are connected using the pop rivet supplied in the package. You will need to use a rivet tool like our 75-012S for the installation.

As for the screws, you may need to drill new holes if the hole locations don't match up with your door. You may want to double-check to confirm if the specifications of the 83-040 shown below match up to your existing handle.
