I purchased two of your latches to be mounted on my new screen doors. The doors will be mounted "in swing". When the doors are closed, the surface of the door frame will be flush to the door jam. I assume that the keeper will be mounted on the surface of the door jam and there will be a taper on the latch arm to push back the spring loaded pin in the keeper when the door is pushed closed.
Will this allow for the latch arm enough room to get under the keeper? Also, if I push the door closed without rotating the handles, will the door latch?

As long as it's flush, I see no reason why the handle shouldn't operate as it should. I can't say for sure without seeing how it looks once it's on your door. Try installing it and letting me know how it works.
If there is a problem with it latching, you can build up the keeper with washers and longer screws until it does.
