series 152 coil balance

Question

I need a coil balance that looks like the series 152, it is 1/2" wide but has no number but a letter E stamped on it, which would be the corresponding # for this and does this series measure 1/2" wide.

Hi Sylvia. Perhaps I can give you some clarity on this for you. The company that made your window coil springs used letters instead of numbers for spring weight. So for the letter E, the corresponding number would be 5. Our S152-5 coil spring would be the part you would choose.
