single hung aluminum window parts

Home Owner from Germantown, MD
Hi. I need help identifying what kind of balancers I need for the old aluminum single hung windows. Took the sash out and all i see is a piece of a rope on one side attached to something that you can see on IMG_1041.jpg. Can someone help me with identifying the correct parts, or let me know if this can be replaced with a more advanced mechanism, but without replacing the windows?

Thank you.

Looks like you need both the top sash guide, which is the nylon piece at the top corners of the sash, and a new balance, which still appears to be jammed in one side of the sash. We carry a ton of variations of both parts so there's a very good chance that we have what you need.

The bad news is that the hardware in your photos is just too damaged for me to make out anything of use. In order to proceed, we have to see an undamaged version of both the top sash guide and balance removed from the window and shown without obstruction.

For the top sash guide, please show it to us from the front and side. Think of it like a mug shot.

For the balance, I need a clear shot of the top fitting, bottom fitting, and the stamp. If any of these pieces are broken or missing then we won't be able to identify a match. They are essential details.
