size screen spline

Question

Hi Can you advise me as to which screen spline size to use on an Andersen window screen. The built in spline was aluminum: about 1/4 inch deep and 1/4 inch wide. I have your 250 spline which seems too big.
I'd appreciate your response.

Hello. Thanks for reaching out to us. Our records indicate that the .250 sized 59-250 works well as a replacement for the old aluminum spline. If that's too big then you could theoretically try the 59-230, which is the next size down, but we've never tried it before and cannot predict how it will go. The .250 usually works fine so we've never had to. Take a look and see what you think.
