sliding glass door handles

Quick Learner from Jersey City

Hi I am woman and an amateur in fixing broken items in my apartment. I broke the strip to which the door handle of the balcony sliding glass door is attached. I slammed it shut when two naughty playful birds who like to get into my apartment and make a havoc tried to get inside. In doing so I broke the part. I think with the new part and your assistance and with my one screw driver, I should be able to fix it myself instead of hiring a handyman (can't afford it as I am on reduced pay - thanks to pandemic).

The distance between the two outer holes is about 4 14/16 inches

The distance between the two inner hole is 3 1/2 inches

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Lata

Thanks for posting, Lata. We can definitely get you a new handle for this door. Can you just confirm the distance between the two screw holes that hold the base plate to the door? Looking at the style, it should be 3-15/16", center-to-center.

If it is, then you can us our 82-030 as a replacement.

Yes Tom. My sincere apologies. You are correct the distance between the two screw holes that hold the base plate to to the door is 3-15/16. Since the base plate that holds the handle to the door broke, would it be possible only to purchase the base plate. I'd appreciate if you could quote the price and shipping charges for the part. Thanks Lata

I'm afraid the base plate is not something we can sell separately. That said, I am very confident that the 82-030 will work perfectly as a replacement.

As for shipping cost, we offer a few different delivery options, so it will depend on what you select during the checkout process.
