silver with a brass inlay hook, the words hook up with an upward arrow appear just below the hook thing.

Take a look at our 82-244. I think this is the mortise lock you need.

Any handle set with 3-15/16" hole spacing should work with the 82-244. For instance, see our 82-030 or 82-035. These come with thumb latches that work with that mortise lock. The mortise lock itself comes with a keeper.
