sliding glass door latch

Question

The latch on my door will no longer latch.  I had a locksmith come out & he worked on it for some time but said the latch is broken inside.  There aren't any identifying names on the latch or door.  The home was built by Pulte but they are unable to tell me the brand name of door or latch.  Home Depot was not able to help.  The home is 13 years old.

Thanks for posting. It sounds like you need a new mortise lock. Our 82-218 should work for you. Please compare. If the handle set is undamaged you can go ahead and reuse it--otherwise, see our 82-033.
