These are mid 90's builder's grade windows, no brand label. They are beige but I can paint if only another color is available.

Thanks for posting. At first glance this reminds me of the 55-029. Compare the cross-section dimensions below to your old glazing bead and let me know if this matches up, or if anything differs. I am afraid this is only available in white--I apologize for the inconvenience.

I had to destroy 90% of the bead removing it from the first window. 55029 doesn't seem to be made to be removed, or to be installed as easily as the bead in the instructional Youtube below. Any special instructions for getting this bead installed?

Great! I'm glad it's a match. There's nothing special about the 55-029, honestly. It installs in much the same way as any other glazing bead.
