spindle stuck

A quick learner from united states says:
ORDERED INSIDE HANDLE FOR STORM DOOR. IT IS THE RIGHT PART BUT CANNOT REMOVE OLD HANDLE FROM THE SPINDEL. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I REPLACED THIS AND HAD NO TROUBLE THE FIRST TIME. HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS?

Bob from SWISCO responded:

If the spindle is lodged in there due to rust, you could try soaking it in WD-40 and seeing if that loosens it up. Otherwise, tt's possible you may need to find a way to dismantle the entire handle set and replace it with something like our 40-058 and 40-177.
