spiral balance

A quick learner from USA says:
Please help me identify replacement parts for this spiral balance for a window I have built in the 1955. The coil tube measures 7/16 inch diameter and 31.5 inches length. The weight of the window is approximately 12 pounds.

The outer sheath of this spiral balance seems to have eroded away, and that's what the diameter really should be measured by. But if the inner component was 7/16", it's likely a 5/8" outer tube, and therefore you'd need a Series 500. If the outer tube length is 31-1/2", round up for a S500-32. You can use a bracket like our 17-012. Check a balance from an identical window in the house to confirm. For a window that weighs exactly 12 pounds, a Red Tip option of 7 through 29 pounds should work.
