Quick Learner from Florida
hi, mine is 17" and the tip is green. Not sure which color to order as green wasn't an option? I dont have a scale here to weigh the sash. its a hurricane impact window and total weight is 51 lbs.

Hi there!

Thanks for reaching out to us. Can you upload photos of your balance? We'd like to see the inner extended spiral tip. Can you also confirm the diameter of the outer tube and tell us if this is a tilt or non-tilt window?

You said you didn't have a scale but the window's total weight is 51 pounds. Can you clarify that for me?

This is a tilt window. 3/8" diameter. These windows are brand new but after installed the left balancer on 2 of my windows doesn't have any tension and just falls right down. When I follow the video to push all the way up and then pull down to charge I don't have any tension on the spiral and after a couple winds nothing happens. I believe the entire balancer is just broken. The other ones all have tension and don't just fall down.

I don't want to replace the windows as was a lot of work to order, ship, and install. And yes 51 lbs because that is what the website said was the weight of the entire window.

Thank you for confirming that for me. Since the diameter is 3/8", we recommend the Series 900. However, the maximum weight this balance can hold is 34 pounds. We can't supply the S900 to support such a heavy weight. The entire window weight may be different than just the window sash, which is the glass panel that moves up and down. Can you remove that, weight it, and tell us what you get?

The Sash is 22 lbs, so which of the options should i get as you have up to 21 and then starts at 24.

For your S900-17 balance, I would go with the yellow tip option.
