spiral balance replacement for tilt windows

Home Owner from Princeton, NJ
We have several windows (1995, no idea manufacture) that won't stay up. Have attempted to charge them and increase tension with little to no success. Cannot find exact match for replacement balance. They are approx. 3/4" diameter and 28 1/2" length with blue tip (see pics). What are best replacements?

Thanks for posting! Can you confirm your dimensions? 3/4" is a huge diameter! Did you mean 3/8"? Is that measuring the spring, or the tube cover? We will need to know the diameter of the tube rather than the spring. Just by eyeballing the balance, it might be the larger Series 600 spiral balance, which has a 9/16" diameter tube. What do you think?

As for the length, can you confirm that as well? Usually these lengths end on the inch, not the half inch. Make sure you're only measuring the tube. Thanks!

Thanks. The clarification of tube vs.spring helped. I was measuring one with a busted tube. Took measure from an intact tube and it is actually 5/8" diameter and exactly 29 inches length.

That makes a lot more sense! Check out our S600-29 and see if you think this could work for you.
