I need to replace several spiral balances in some windows. My spiral balances have a plastic coating over them - the plastic coating measures a 1/2"wide and is 29" long. Inside the plastic coating is a tube (that is partially wrapped in a spring coil) with a blue tip that measures 28.25 inches long. I weighed a sash and it is 15 lbs.
Which replacement spiral balance should I get?

Thanks for posting! Please take a look at our S600-29 tilt window spiral balance, with a blue tip. Do you think that would work out for you? An S600-29 spiral balance with a blue tip has a weight capacity of 12 through and including 31 lbs.
This information is based on 2 balances per sash. Balances are designed assuming friction in the jamb weather-strip will carry a portion of the sash weight. Suggested sash weights are approximate.
