spiral balances

A home owner from FL says:
I have a single hung window, it tilts out. The one spiral balance is broken. It is 3/8 size 26 inches long but does not have a colored tip for identification. The single sash weighs 13 lb. which balances should I purchase.
Thank you

Thanks for posting. It sounds like you have an S900-26 spiral balance. You can see a chart on the S900-26 store page that lists exactly how much weight each option supports.

If your sash is only 13 pounds, then the Red Tip is more than sufficient. Two balances with this stamp carries a load of 10 through 22 pounds.
