spiral spring balance

Handy Person from Miami Florida

I need 4 of these.

The tube is white plastic 20.5 inches long and 5/8" wide. It has a green plastic tip. The metal part that attaches to the window protudes approximately 1.5" out and has two small metal pins in it. At the other end of the tube is a hole for a screw to attach it the inside of the sash. Feel free to call me anytime with questions or foor payment. I need these pretty quickly becuase we are selling this condo.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but I can't quite tell if your balances are standard or a special type of hybrid balance that would need to be custom-ordered. To confirm, please check the spiral tubes for any stamp codes. It would also help to see a straight-on photo of the plastic insert inside the base of the balance tube. Thank you!

I assume this is what you mean by the plastic insert. Let me know if you need anything else.

Also I like at the tube and don't see any markings or writing at all. The only mark I see at all is an X on the metal part that sticks out.

Thanks for getting back to us. It looks like you have Ultralift balances, which we can supply through a custom order. To get started, we'll need to know the exact weight of the window sash these balances support since there are no stamp codes on your balance tubes. From there, we'll be able to send over an order link and price quote.

I have no idea how to get these windows out to weigh them. The condo is on the 46th floor of our building. I've tried getting them out and they just won't come out. Any advice how I can weigh them or get them out?

As long as the balances are released or removed on both sides, you can place a scale on the window sill and carefully lower the sash onto it to determine the weight.

I got it out. Looks like it weighs 28.2 pounds

I believe it's an ultra 88L. Spoke to another company and that's what he said it is. Again the window weighs 28.2 pounds.

Thanks for getting back to us. We just sent over an order link and price quote for you to review. Keep in mind that the green tip on your balance normally means that these are for a heavier sash but you should be good to go as long as you're sure the sash weighs 28 pounds. Take a look and let us know if you need anything else.
