spring balancer for a milestone series 1000 window

my channel is 1/2 wide and measures 29'' long no stamp markings to reference. Need a heavy duty replacement these are hurricane proof windows. Thanks Jim

Hi Jim. We'd be happy to help you replace this balance, but I need a little more information to be able to help. Could you show us a photo of the nylon attachment at the other end of the balance? Can you confirm the length of the metal channel, not including the nylon attachments at either end? Finally, could you show us any stamped code on the metal channel? That will help us find the appropriate spring calibration for your windows. Many thanks.

the metal channel is 29 inches long there is no stamped code on the channel. The other ends plastic is broke and missing. Sorry

I'm afraid without that information, we can't make a recommendation. Does the other balance in this window still have both nylon attachments? If not, is there an identical window in the house that you could procure one of the balances from? Without seeing both nylon attachments, I can't tell you what type of balance you have. Finally, if there is no stamp, we need the exact weight of the window sash.
