spring ballance

A professional from 49684 says:
this double hung window has a spring ballance with the spring exposed. The spring is screwed into the top of the channel and attaches to the shoe at the bottom, see pic. I dont see an exposed spring ballance in your items, can another type of ballance be substituted for this. One sash measures 34 x 26H , the channel for the ballance appears to be 1"

Hmm...It's a little hard to tell. You may be able to use our S795-24 channel balance with a 15-194 T-lock shoe. We are estimating the sash weight to be around 19.5 pounds, so you could most likely go with the 24C option. There is a slight chance you may have to file the tip of the pivot bar to fit into the 15-194. Take a closer look at everything mentioned and let us know if we can be of any further assistance.
