storm door dead bolt lock

A landlord says:
I want to child-proof a storm door by reversing rhe installation so that the turning knob is exterior and lock side is interior. Also does the bracket for the bolt that is mounted on the frame come with this?

Dave Sr. from SWISCO responded:
Good Afternoon,

I would not advise the reverse installation of the dead bolt lock. I believe this would become a fire hazard in case of an emergency. If you want to keep the child in the house you could install it on the high side of the child's reach.

Also, be sure to check with your local hardware store, they may have some type of child safety hardware that may help you.
