storm door latch spindle size

Question

Do your latches come with different spindle hole sizes? I bought one at lowes for replacement but my spindle was too big for latch hole.

It depends on the latch in question. The 40-150, for instance, has an adapter insert that allows it to use both 3/16" and 5/16" spindles. If you're uncertain, show us your original latch and we'll try and work out what you need.
