Thanks for reaching out to us. This looks like the keeper that comes with the 40-050 Pella hinged screen door hardware kit. However, this is specifically only made for Pella doors, while the 40-150 is a generic part. Can you confirm if you have a Pella door? If so, can I see a photo of the original handle?

That is very peculiar. I've never seen the 40-150 used with the part you're showing above. 

I can at least tell you that the 40-150 is compatible with the 40-081 keeper, as well as many others, but right now I have no idea if these are going to work on your door. If what you're telling me is accurate then you have a very weird setup that I've never encountered before. I cannot guarantee what I've suggested will work.

I suggest using a keeper like our 40-085 . It looks like it'll be too shallow, though, so you will want to pack it out with a wood shim or possibly make up some cardboard shims so that it will meet the 40-150 latch.

If you're handy, or if you know a good shop, you could potentially cut a piece of aluminum angle to size and use that as a keeper.
