sturdier lock

Question

I have a flush mount patio door latch (looks like your 82-008K) on my sliding door on my boat. I need a sturdier locking mechanism with a key. Any options to retrofit with a better locking mechanism? The door can also be lifted out of its track to gain entry since it is on the outer track.

I'm afraid they don't really make a sturdier version of this lock. They pretty much just make it one way. If you need a higher security lock then you would need to contact a locksmith in your area to see if they have a better solution.
