tandem roller problem

Question

I bought the SS Patio Door Tandem Roller, 1-1/2" Concave 81-182. All measurements looked the same, but once installed, the wheels would not retract enough the put the door back in place.

I compared them side by side (see picture) and saw one big difference, that the attachment brackets on the new one are not offset enough to allow the wheels to retract enough.

Questions:

can the attachment brackets be adjusted to match the old one?
is there a different tandem roller that does match?
can i get the wheels to adjust a little more

Thanks for your patience during this busy season. Unfortunately, we have no roller that will replace your original. We've seen this a few times in the past and have never been able to find a working substitute. The brackets on the 81-182 cannot be adjusted, either. I'm sorry that we cannot provide an alternative for you at this time.
