this is the slliding mechanism of an awning window

Handy Person from Rhode Island
The part which slides in a track on the frame is black plastic covered and 1 7/8 inch long and 9/16 wide.
The part screwed onto the window is 8 5/8 inch long, attached with 4 screws.
The arm which is connected to the frame and this piece is 10 inches long.
The part number is 30132.
The problem is that the slider keeps falling out of the track making the window unusable.
It's on the right side facing the window...but probably best to change both sides.
No known window brand.

We don't have this exact hinge, but I believe you can use our 36-048 as a replacement as long as you replace the top and bottom at the same time. The video below will go into more detail on how this is done.

The window is an awning window. There is no mechanism at the bottom, except the crank. The mechanism I am looking for fits at the top corner of the window and allows the top to slide up and down in a track as the bottom is cranked out.

Thank you for clarifying. I'm sorry for missing that part of your post. While the 36-048 is meant for casement windows, it can work for awning windows just as well. We unfortunately don't have a video that shows how, but the same principles shown in the video I posted still apply. As long as you replace both sides at the same time then you should be fine.
