tie bar guide

Home Owner from Janesville WI
Original windows discontinued. Must order from you.I talked at great length to one agent. Went online and found what I thought was correct part. Part called a "tie bar guide." Talked with another agent who verified my choice. (Part 39-448.) However when part arrived it was too thick and could not be used. See picture comparing part needed and part ordered/received. You have a similar part, more expensive, but think that is what I need. Please help this very old lady who needs to order the part so son can install it. Winter c coming! Thanks, much.

Hello,

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble installing the 39-448 tie bar guide. We have known past customers to use this part to replace various types of tie bar guides, so I'm surprised to hear the replacement was too thick. We do offer one other tie bar guide, the 39-417. Review the dimensions below to see if this might be a better fit. Thanks for posting.

Thanks. I ordered the 39-417. If it doesn't work I'll have to use duct tape! LOL LOL. I think it will work.

Great, I'll cross my fingers that no duct tape will be necessary this time around. Just let us know if you need anything else.
