In the tutorial below, we show how to convert the sash to one that uses a surface mounted latch like the 26-228 and 26-229. You'll need to review the dimensions to confirm that they will be a fit on the top of the sash. There are also an assortment of latches that can be used to complete this project, if those recommended are not a suitable size; they can be viewed directly on the website.
