tilt latch release (or actuator)

Question

The measurements of my tilt latch release match your product 26-234 with the exception of the distance from tip to tip of the "hooks" on the side view of the underside. My gap measurement is 3/16" -- same as yours. Each "hook" is 2/16" across (side view). So my total distance from tip to tip of the "hooks" is 2/16" + 3/16" + 2/16" = 7/16". If I am interpreting your diagram correctly, your measurement from tip to tip is 3/8" (or 6/16"). I believe that my replacement windows are from Great Lakes. They were installed in the early 1990's. Does it sound like your 26-234 will work with my windows?

We unfortunately don't have a version of the 26-234 with the dimensions given. The only solution I can offer you is to install surface-mount tilt latches on your window instead of using the internal-type latches that came with the window.
