tilt release for andersen renewal window

Home Owner from Cypress, TX
The Andersen Renewal double hung windows were installed in 2001. Each window had these inserted into the channel, one on each side. When pushed down, they unlocked the window to allow it to tilt in. Over the years, the plastic has disintegrated and they are either broken out or very fragile.

They are the same for both sides (not left or right versions.) There are NO markings of any sort on them.

I figure I will not be able to get direct replacements, but getting something that would work better than a screwdriver or shaped dowel would be great.

Hello,

Your part is similar to the Andersen 20-020 at first but Renewal by Andersen has exclusive rights to their parts, which do not work with standard Andersen hardware. Unfortunately, in this situation, my suggestion would be to contact Renewal by Andersen or one of their dealers directly. I'm sorry we won't be able to assist with this repair but please let us know if you have any other hardware questions. Thanks for posting.
