tilt window balance

A home owner from Edgewater, MD says:

House was built in 1999 with wood tilt out double hung windows. Pictures attached. On one window, the upper sash balance is broken (remaining part picture attached). This sliding part fits in a vinyl channel and is attached to a long spring which holds the window up and closed. I slit the upper part of the channel to remove the spring and broken slider. the slider has a hole in it into which the window tilt pin fits. Can you help find this part?  Many thanks.

Thanks for writing in. Take a look at our 20-022 Friction Shoe. Look it over and see if this is what you need. Keep in mind if the springs themselves are damaged, we do not replace these. You will need to contact a local millwork to obtain all-new jambliners.
