tribeca door latch not operating properly

Question

The latching mechanism on my Anderson slider has become more and more difficult to engage. Nothing appears to be broken. Does the entire mechanism need to be replaced or does something need to be adjusted?

It sounds like the internal mechanism could be broken inside the lock. Unfortunately, I don't believe there's anything you can do to repair it. It might be time to replace the entire lock.
